Structural Element with high “K” thermal coefficient
STEK is a product manufactured by HABITAT Legno and marketed by Linea Legno.
STEK Structural Element with high “K” thermal coefficient is a component of wood-polystyrene foam mixture, which combines the features of high thermal resistance with mechanical resistance.
It is available in four standard versions of equal width (185 mm) and two thicknesses (17 mm and 27mm) for the supports, but with different thickness of insulation:
STEK is supplied in bars with maximum length of 12.50 meters, aesthetically customized according to the client taste. Its utilization is particularly indicated where there is a need to combine strong static requirements, thermal-acoustic features, personalized with prestigious material and quick execution, therefore for covering, attics and vertical and horizontal internal and external partitions.
The wood for external support is Spruce Fir, classified by machine according to DIN 4074, class S13 and polystyrene foam of the EPS 150 type (according to UNI EN 13163), and thermal conduction l= 0,034 W/mk.
In the reference tables STEK profiles are recommended based on accidental overload conditions and restrictions, simple (M= 1/8 xpxl²) and continuous (M= 1/12 xpl²) bearing.
The tables have been compiled not only in compliance with admissible tensions (DIN 1052), but also containing light deflection angle 1/300.
Upon request we can manufacture and supply STEK profiles with customized thicknesses and lengths. The insulating material can be of the ecological type (wood fibres) and with various external supports; in the latter case, the technical data reported in the present catalogue change.
